Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee Excitation Systems projects within the Energy Industries division, based in Switzerland, providing clear guidelines, tasks and milestones, while motivating and providing feedback. Additionally, you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that customer requirements and all targets are met, providing excellent service at every stage of the project.The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Energy Industries division in Switzerland. You will be mainly accountable for:• Overseeing commercial, legal, and technical facets of order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability across multiple projects.• Communicating proactively and coordinating tasks with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.• Managing all operational activities, monitor projects for cost control, resource efficiency, and HSE standards, and address risks related to scheduling, finance, contracts, and legal issues.• Collaborating on technical aspects, contract negotiations, and claims, while building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to achieve project deliverables and compliance.

Qualifications for the role
 

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with demonstrated expertise in managing project scope, cost, schedule, vendors/subcontractors, and handling challenging customers.
• Knowledge of industrial and power generation applications as well as SAP usage beneficial
• Responsive, customer-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
• Associate Project Management certification (PMP, ABB internal or similar) is of advantage
• Languages: English fluent, German good knowledge
