A key role in assisting the sales team, the Sales Support Specialist (Back End Sales) prepares internal and external customer support (e.g. technical, order assistance, payment-related assistance) and coordinates with relevant resources to have complete case ownership and to increase customer satisfaction. In this role, your strong technical, commercial and market knowledge will assist you in providing customers with efficient and effective solutions. You are working in a close relationship with the sales engineersThis position reports to the Local Division Manager & Sales Manager Robotics Switzerland and is graded as 14.

Your responsibilities

  • Preparing formal technical and commercial offers with clear contract terms
  • Ensuring the resolution of customer issues (e.g. order, technical, payment) by coordinating with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain Management and other internal/external teams
  • Aiding sales colleagues in specifying optimal, cost-effective solutions to meet customers' needs
  • Providing assistance and input in meetings, product presentations and negotiations (e.g. production capability and scheduling, resourcing, quotes, price lists, invoice)
  • Answering technical queries from engineering teams and delivering vital information to risk reviews
  • Studying customers' needs and competitors' offerings through market intelligence and insight from sales teams
  • Preparing and analyzing regular statistics (e.g. forecast) using available tools and collecting relevant information

Your background

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant Sales area, experience in similar positions
  • Knowledge of SAP, MS Office, SalesForce
  • Self-motivation, curiosity and a desire to learn about new technologies
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • A technical degree with strong commercial affinity or a commercial degree with a technical flair should be available
  • Fluency in English and German, French would be an asset
