Working as a Connectivity Architect within System Drives R&D organization, you will work as part of a Global Architect Team. In this role, you will be responsible for putting together the connectivity architecture for System Drives' products ranging from control units up to the cloud layer and everything in between. Vital part of our products' connectivity strategy is OPC UA, where you shall have a key role in defining OPC UA based information modelling and connectivity.You will report to the Lead Architect & Global Portfolio Manager.***The ideal candidate is located in Finland (Helsinki), Germany (Mannheim) or Poland (Cracow).***Willingness to travel is required (up to 10%).

Your responsibilities

• Define, build and maintain connectivity architecture that supports full System Drives portfolio.
• Support and guide projects in implementing new secure connectivity features, OPC UA service-oriented components and data pipeline.
• Lead definition and development of OPC UA information modelling for our products.
• Support technical requirement specification and concept proofing of new communication technologies.
• Follow and participate relevant connectivity and data modelling standardization, like OPC UA, OPC UA over TSN and other relevant standardization.
• Take part in implementation to stay in close touch with connectivity development teams.

Your background

• M.Sc. degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant area.
• Strong experience in OPC UA data modelling and Ethernet based networks and protocols is a must.
• Software development experience and familiarity with development tools. Capability to program in C++ language.
• Knowledge of fieldbus communications is an advantage.
• Collaborative working style.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English language skills.
