What you achieve
Our customers need access to log messages of the services they entrust to Swisscom cloud solutions. Kafka technology is an essential component in achieving these goals. We are building several small to medium-sized Kafka clusters, and automated deployment is a must. Together with a virtual team that ensures the 24/7 operation of Kafka environments, you are the driving force behind this. You help build the necessary infrastructure and this enable customers to access the data. This way, you provide end-to-end automation and monitor the solutions. In addition, you integrate the Kafka infrastructure into the Swisscom cloud services and keep an eye on the service quality of the CI/CD pipelines. You are ready to work on demand and provide support.
Why you succeed
- Degree (UAS/technical college/FCC) in computer science
- Experience in building and operating Linux-based services
- Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible or Puppet
- Know-how in one or more programming or scripting language (e.g. Bash, Python, Go)
- Experience in building, concepts, and administration of Apache Kafka
- Proficiency in container technology and Kubernetes is a plus
- Familiarity with Confluent extensions is a plus
- Very willing to learn and enjoy working in a virtual team
- Fluency in written and spoken English, German a plus
