About CSI-HSG
The Competence Center for Social Innovation at the University of St. Gallen (CSI-HSG) contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at a higher pace. We help people and organizations to develop a common mindset and work more effectively towards impact, by increasing their know-how and capabilities for collaboration and bridging rationalities. We develop, test, and iterate upon formats that generate public value in new ways. Our approach is open and collaborative, bringing together a range of stakeholders, including public sector entities, the private sector and civil society organizations. To raise the profile of CSI-HSG, increase impact, and facilitate growth in the coming years, we are looking for a
Lead Impact Entrepreneur (possible future Managing Director)

What to expect
- You join a small, dedicated and collaborative team and a dynamic organization still very much in a start-up phase
- You shape the future of CSI-HSG in close collaboration with the steering committee and the existing team
- You guarantee our long-term economic stability by developing new projects and securing their funding
- You ensure implementation of the projects by managing our budget and team capacities
- You are the ambassador of CSI-HSG at HSG and beyond – you cultivate existing partnerships and establish new ones
Your profile
- You are inspired by the responsibility of ensuring the growth and economic viability of a high-impact organization in a dynamic environment
- You have a proven entrepreneurial track record and have headed up successful (or successfully failed) projects, acquired funding and have leadership experience. Your broad network of potential partners from the private sector and foundations will kick-start your work at CSI-HSG
- You are driven by impact – in the SDG sense – and have a passion for innovation and co-creation
- You can balance strategic thinking and practical implementation
- You inspire others with your entrepreneurial mindset and excellent communication skills
- Ideally, you gained knowledge and experience in social innovation, social entrepreneurship or related fields from your practical work experience or academic career
- You are fluent in German and English; French is a plus
