The R&D Associate Engineer plays an important role by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology by contributing with own ideas on development and solutions. In this position, you will execute product development tasks using your technical expertise. Reporting to the CoE Laboratory Manager, you will support the R&D Agile Team's by performing assigned tasks under supervision and execute assigned tasks using technical knowledge in a structured way.

Your responsibilities
 

  • Documenting work and contributing to written technical reports
  • Uses technical knowhow in own area of competence to solve problems.
  • Contributing your own creative ideas to R&D projects and proposing follow-up activities based on project results
  • Participating in working teams and offering assistance to co-workers, as well as consulting team members and colleagues to gain information and knowledge
  • Keeping up to date with strategic plans and performing activities in line with the current direction
  • Adheres to applicable processes, standards, guidelines, and supports the achievement of assigned targets (quality, time and raises and addresses risks

Your background
 

  • Minimum few years of experience working as Laboratory Specialist with UPS equipment's or equivalent related experience
  • Sound knowledge in Electrical Engineering for power converter platforms as a preference
  • A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Knowledge of advanced programming languages such as C++ or MATLAB/Simulink considered advantageous
  • A university degree in electronic engineering (Bachelor's degree)
  • Fluent command of Italian and good knowledge of English (German is a plus)
  • Current driving license valid in Switzerland
