As an R&D Senior Engineer, you will contribute significantly to technology and product development projects by identifying and implementing innovative solutions.

This position reports to

R&D Team Manager

Your responsibilities
 

• Designing, Implementing and Validating software applications for UPS product line.
• Formulating Analog and Digital Electronics specifically for UPS purposes.
• Design & Implement Networking solutions primarily for Power Quality Systems.
• Contributing to general improvement by providing support as needed.
• Integrating Engineering Solutions for customized customer requirements & application.
• Assisting customers to troubleshoot issues related to the operation of real-time & mission-critical systems.
• Applying the NPI process by overseeing NPI tollgate activities and managing related documentation for each NPI Program.

Your background
 

• University degree in Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Profound knowledge of C and assembler programming, embedded software development and web-based applications as well as communication protocols.
• Knowledge of connectivity tasks and related firmware (LINUX is a plus).
• Knowledge in power electronic control is a plus.
• Experience in modeling, simulation and testing of power electronics is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills as well as good communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in a matrix organization and multicultural environment.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to actively support back-office administrative tasks.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
