In our global R&D Power Electronics competence center in Turgi, Switzerland, we are looking for a highly motivated and energetic professional to head one of our software development teams for Medium Voltage Drives in Turgi, Switzerland.
Leading a group of experts, you will oversee the full range of activities associated with software development for medium voltage converters.
In this challenging role, your focus will be on ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining a culture of excellence. This position reports to
R&D Department Lead
Your responsibilities
- Manage, guide, and supervise a team of software engineers and control theory experts who are responsible for medium voltage drives
- Coordinate activities related to the software development life cycle: Requirements engineering, design, implementation, tests, and maintenance
- Manage troubleshooting and field support for installed base
- Liaise with key stakeholders within the areas of Product Management, Service and Product Engineering
- Ensure effective and efficient operational procedures in all dealings with other local and global R&D teams
- Perform line management duties such as hiring, HR development and coordination of various tasks at team level
Your background
- Strong background in Electrical Engineering
- Proven track record in the field of control of variable speed drives
- Experience in project management related to software development
- Well-developed organizational and strategic abilities
- First experience in leading teams
- Excellent command of English, preferably complemented by German
