As part of the Motion Service team, you will work in our Center of Expertise setup for Medium Voltage Drive Services and taking over products from System Drives into our portfolio. Frome there you will develop, deploy and maintain new modernization so-lutions for our installed base to innovate and develop solutions that create value for our customers.In this role you will analyze, modify, and create the modular design of equipment, systems or installations, including specifications and documentation for manufactur-ing, fabrication and installation. Additionally, you will adopt the solutions and gener-ate products to support the target business solutions to serve the installed base of medium voltage converters.

Your responsibilities
 

• Develop industrialization concepts based on product requirement specification in close collaboration with product management, product engineering, operations and shop floor manufacturing team
• Deliver solutions based on modular standardized designs with high priority on reusability of solutions as key deliverable of the product development projects
• Design the product solutions to meet target manufacturing and delivery concepts, including specific pre-manufacturing concepts
• Optimize designs to meet updated standards, incorporating new products, components, and functionalities that meet customer expectations while fulfilling project delivery needs
• Design review and verification following established quality assurance and control process, provide feedback on design aspects and introduce required modifications
• Complete risk and opportunity assessments and the implementation of resulting actions in one's area of responsibility and report any quality / program / cost issues to management, along with recommendations, for resolution
• Collaborate with Electrical engineering, system design, customers, sales, product and project management as well as product engineering to provide technical guidance on design related queries
• In collaboration with the supply chain function, you will review vendor documentation, prepare RFQs, and provide design related evaluation of proposals for non-standard materials and equipment

Your background
 

• Strong background in mechanical design or industrialization engineering
• Several years of relevant experience in the field of industrialization, productization and mechanical engineering, product development or engineering and strong passion towards electrical design
• Familiarity with Solid Edge as CAD tool, SAP knowledge to manage parts and bill of material
• Knowledge of ACS drives or experience in the field of medium voltage is strongly preferred
• Proven experience and skills in project management
• Initiative, creativity and great attention to detail
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills in German and/or English
