We are looking to attract an experienced professional with demonstrable expertise in digitalization in the discrete manufacturing and process industries. In this role, your primary focus will be on promoting our industrial software portfolio and demonstrate ABB's position as one most innovating and leading technology companies. You combine specialist technical knowledge with sales skills and will be an important player in our sales team. Sales Manager - Digital

Your responsibilities
 

  • Promote and sell digital solutions to the discrete manufacturing and process industries.
  • Use your expertise to understand the customers' requirements and incorporate your technical knowledge into your sales approach.
  • Collect market intelligence and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Draw up proposals and quotations covering all relevant technical, commercial, and legal aspects and tailor them to specific customer requirements.
  • Lead the bid clarification and contract negotiation process.
  • Prepare and give compelling sales presentations and demonstrations.
  • Prepare sales plans, perform regular status reviews, and propose recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.

Your background
 

  • Bachelor's / master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience driving digital transformation for complex global organizations, ideally in a B2B environment (Process, Energy, software, technology, automation), hands-on experience of the OT / software industry business with focus on digitalization and Industrial Software. Deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems a must.
  • Industry experience in discrete manufacturing and/or process industries.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel across the EU.
